Serving The Community
The Committee is proud of the work it has done and the quality of the candidates and elected officials it has supported. The Committee is made up of members who have been active throughout the community and is always looking for new members interested in bettering Rush.
The Rush Republican Committee is affiliated with the Monroe County Republican Committee which is associated with the US National Republican Committee.
The Committee has as its purpose the following:
- Candidate recruitment, training and development
- Selecting the candidates to run on the Republican ballot line
- Development of party issues and policies
- Fund-raising to support its candidates
- Voter identification and registration programs
- Voter outreach programs
- Keeping the public informed, connected and represented
- Educate the Community on the Benefits the of the Republican Party as office holders in Rush
Get Involved
Membership in the committee is open to registered Republicans residing in the Town of Rush. Deputy Membership is also an option. The Committee meets once a month, currently on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Meetings are held at the Wildwood Country Club. Members of the Rush Republican Committee participate in achieving their mission through activities that include attendance and participating in committee meetings, participation in fund-raising and candidate informational events, providing advice and ideas to our elected officials, screening of potential candidates for office and support of those candidates.
We annually sponsor a spring Pancake Breakfast and a fall Steak Roast. We are proud that we have maintained the price and atmosphere of our events such that they are regularly enjoyed by a cross section of the community. Please join us at one of our meetings to talk with your fellow Rush Republicans, to ask questions you may have, offer suggestions and consider membership.
